Paxton’s NOVI superchargers are based on Paxton Auto motive’s race-proven gear case. It features billet steel, helical-cut gears (3.45, 3.50:1 or 3.61:1 step-up ratio), aerospace-quality high-speed bearings and direct engine oiling.
Paxton supercharger systems with factory settings from 5-8 pounds per square inch of boost pressure can contribute 35%-55% increase in horsepower. By making simple changes to the pulley, several of Paxton’s superchargers are capable of much higher boost levels.
These superchargers are capable of raising the boost further that would give further horse power, provided you make some electronic and engine modifications. However, Paxton does not recommend exceeding 8 psi on a stock engine.

Because any additional modifications to a vehicle including headers, exhaust, engine modifications, tire size, gear ratio and computer programs will affect the way your vehicle performs. Fuel supply would have to be increased under these conditions. Several computer programs can increase the rev-limiter on vehicles. If the engine is spinning faster than the factory limit, the supercharger is spinning faster and making more boost. This boost level is higher than the level tested by Paxton Automotive and could exceed recommended limits. Multiple modifications to any vehicle should be performed by a qualified mechanic who understands how those modifications will affect vehicle performance.
