What is the best supercharger to get for an automatic Ford Mustang?
Well, I put the question to one of friends, who is a busy mechanic. 
You know what was his answer?
He said, for a street driven car, Kenne Bell and Whipple Charger are near the top of the list because of the high torque they make at low engine RPMs.
Further he added that, if you asked the question, "What is the best power adder for my automatic Mustang," the answer without a doubt is a turbo. And he explained reason why.

Turbos are not mechanically driven, and therefore sap less power from the engine to simply turn the compressor.
High-powered engines with supercharger can require over one hundred horsepower simply to spin the blower at elevated RPMs!
In the older days, turbo kits were mostly do-it-yourself or had a large price differential versus superchargers.

Today, there are many manufacturers who make turbo kits that take no more time to install than most supercharger.
The huge bonus of the turbo, however, is that since boost is not a function of crankshaft speed like it is with belt-driven supercharger, turbos can make maximum boost at a lower RPM, increasing torque down low, and increasing HP across the rev range due to reduced rotational drag.
On Mustangs especially, nearly everything streetable has already been tested, tuned, and had a chip burned for it, meaning it's super simple to get your car running properly.
